About Me
A little about me
I’m a CBT and EMDR therapist with over 10 years of experience working in mental health, including within the NHS. Throughout my career, I’ve always felt passionate about supporting people through some of the most difficult and overwhelming periods of their lives.
For me, therapy should feel like a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can simply be yourself. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out, and you don’t need to feel that what you’re going through is “bad enough” to deserve support. If something is affecting you and your life, then it matters.
Why EMDR means so much to me
My passion for EMDR is also very personal. Before becoming an EMDR therapist, I experienced EMDR therapy myself for around a year — and it was genuinely life-changing for me.
Being on the other side of therapy gave me a deeper understanding of what it feels like to be vulnerable, to talk about difficult experiences and to work through things that can sometimes feel impossible to put into words.
It’s a big part of why I feel so passionate about offering EMDR today. I know what it’s like to sit in the other chair, and I know how important it is to feel safe, understood and never judged.
A little more about me
As a South Asian therapist, family and connection are incredibly important to me. I understand the role that family, culture, expectations and relationships can play in our lives, and I want you to feel that every part of who you are has a place in the therapy room.
Outside of therapy, you’ll usually find me doing Pilates, going for long walks with my husband, or spending quality time with my two nieces. I really value balance, connection and making time for the things and people that bring us happiness.
You don’t have to do it alone
Most importantly, I never want you to feel that there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes that light might feel very small or very far away, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
My role isn’t to tell you how to live your life. It’s to work alongside you, help you better understand what you’re experiencing, and give you the space and tools to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
We’re all human. We all have difficult days, difficult experiences and times when things become too much. You don’t have to navigate those moments alone.
If you feel ready to take that first step, I’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to know exactly what to say or have everything worked out before getting in touch. We can simply start with a conversation.
